The blind slats are colour coordinated with the head and base rails, which are roll-formed from 0.05 hot dipped aluminium/zinc coated steel. The finish is 12+2 microns thick and comprises a thermoset polymer coating over primer specifically designed to be extra durable for Australian conditions. The fully enclosed D section bottom rail contains both ladder and cord, preventing them from being exposed. Spring-loaded brackets make them easy to remove and re-install when necessary.
